The central tasks of the managing board are:

• administration with respect to staff issues and project funding
• organisation of the scientific VirusREvolution-Meetings
• representation and defence of issues and reporting with respect to the funding bodies
• implementation of measures to promote young scientists, gender equality, equal chances, and public outreach.
